What types of catflaps do you offer for Upvc doors?
Catflaps and pet doors can be fitted into a select range of Upvc door styles, mostly Flat Panel Doors and Stable Style doors, as well as in Fully Glazed Clear/Pattern Upvc Doors. For catflaps/pet doors, we offer the following:
- Manual catflaps/pet doors: Locked and unlocked by hand
- Microchip catflaps/pet doors: Recognise a pet’s unique microchip and operate automatically
Manual catflaps
What they are: Catflaps locked and unlocked by the user by hand.
Description: Manual catflaps have four settings – open (allows the cat to enter and exit freely), closed (locked), in-only (entry but no exit) and out-only (exit but no entry). This allows the user to manually set permissions for their cat. Manual catflaps do not require batteries.
Manual pet doors
What they are: Flaps designed for dogs and larger cats.
Description: Pet doors (or dogflaps) are just like catflaps, but designed specifically for dogs, as well as cats larger than average size. Pet doors for small dogs have four settings – open, closed, in-only and out-only; while pet doors for medium dogs only have the two settings of open and closed.
Microchip catflaps
What they are: Catflaps that recognise your cat’s unique microchip.
Description: Microchip catflaps offer the advantage of identifying your cat, allowing them to enter whilst denying entry to other cats. A Microchip DualScan Catflap lets you set separate rules for different cats should one of them need to be kept indoors. A Microchip Connect Catflap goes further, but allowing you to access the catflap via your smartphone (SureFlap Hub required). All of our microchip catflaps can also be operated manually.
Microchip pet doors
What they are: Just like microchip catflaps, they are designed for dogs and larger-sized cats.
Description: Our microchip pet doors are made for small dogs and larger-than-average cats. The two models we offer include the standard Microchip pet door that recognises your dog or cat’s unique microchip, as well as the Microchip Connect pet door that can also be accessed via your smartphone. Note that there are no separate pet permission settings for the Microchip Connect pet door.
